00:05:23 Nik Mckiernan: HI. This is my first one. Apologies I can't get my camera working as on my husband's computer today. Bear with me!
00:09:46 Nik Mckiernan: All sorted - I just switched it off and on again!
00:22:34 Nik Mckiernan - North Warks: That's encouraging feedback :)
00:23:05 Jacky Lawrence: Reacted to "That's encouraging f..." with 👍
00:23:22 Amanda Davis: Just parking a thought in case I need to leave before the end (I'm an economist and reporting on the budget at the moment) = Has methane been considered - either alongside and within carbon literacy training - or as a parallel package? In rural areas or those with fossil fuel industry, this (methane) can be as important. Belinda, you may cover this but in case I have to go. Last week's young presenter was very insightful in climate science and chemistry / physics. Didn't know what I didn't know until she raised it. Belinda, this is fabulous work you are doing and thank you.
00:25:55 Richard Watkins: Methane is included in the material as part of the explanation of ghgs and particularly around food and other areas. The course is not about carbon only.
00:26:19 Amanda Davis: Reacted to "Methane is included ..." with 👍
00:26:56 Nik Mckiernan - North Warks: Reacted to "Methane is included ..." with 👍🏼
00:29:54 Garry Ford: For our town council only one councillor was not interested in taking part in the training.
00:35:49 Garry Ford: Sarah, are there not council Climate Officers at a county level, etc. you can contact?
00:39:56 SARAH WHITELAW: Replying to "Sarah, are there not..."
YES .. a very helpful guy (just the one now) but there are 'politics' which suggest that an independent consultant's appraisal of 'where we are and what we're doing' would be better received … and Kirklees has its own issues shall we say !!
00:40:22 wendy thomson Gloucestershire: I haven't used zoom for a while and only just sorted out how to open chat! I'm very disappointed that local councils in my area have declared and climate emergency but don't seem to have done anything effective about it since.
00:41:18 Garry Ford: Replying to "Sarah, are there not..."👍
00:42:33 Nik Mckiernan - North Warks: It's the same for me in North Warwickshire Wendy. But some hope with our local parish council who are a bit more interested!
00:52:05 wendy thomson Gloucestershire: Reacted to "It's the same for me..." with 👍

00:54:52 SARAH WHITELAW: Replying to "Sarah, are there not..."
I should say there is an Energy and Climate Change team in Kirklees .. we have contact/support from one
00:56:47 Jacky Lawrence: Anthesis Scatter Tool does scope 1, 2, 3 emissions I think.
00:57:11 Jacky Lawrence: A larger local authority should have its own energy consumption and emissions database like SystemsLink.
01:01:04 Simon Richards Forest of Dean District Council: There is an LGA calculator ofr direct emissions..
01:01:09 Simon Richards Forest of Dean District Council: Greenhouse Gas Accounting Tool – frequently asked questions | Local Government Association
01:01:41 john fagan: Sorry, I got to go now, great session (again!). Good final points by Mervyn
01:04:14 wendy thomson Gloucestershire: I've been looking for grants to improve my home but nothing out there so going alone and had a solar panel visit this morning to get a quote.
01:05:40 Nik Mckiernan - North Warks: Really sorry I'm going to have to go now. Thank you so much for a helpful and informative session. Just what I need at the moment. Thank you :)
01:06:41 Ben Woodcock: I have to go now - thanks for the talk.
01:10:42 wendy thomson Gloucestershire: Thank you!
